Titans Deserve Better
DECLINE IN STATE FUNDING
State investment in higher education has been trending downward since the 1970s. In the most recent round of CSU cuts prior to this academic year, CSUF alone lost a total of $40 million in operating support from the state.
MINIMAL REINVESTMENT
While California this year began what will hopefully be a gradual reinvestment in higher education, it is a drop in the bucket.
CSUF AMONG LOWEST-FUNDED
As a compounding factor, we are the CSU’s lowest-funded campus per student with the third-lowest student fees, which puts CSUF at an ongoing disadvantage in delivering the student experience that Titans deserve.
OTHER CSU CAMPUSES ARE TAKING ACTION
To date, 12 of the CSU's 23 campuses have implemented their own version of the Student Success Initiative here at Cal State Fullerton.
